Jed Mosenfelder

Senior Research Associate

Research Interests:

  • Hydrogen, fluorine, boron, and nitrogen incorporation in nominally anhydrous minerals and partitioning between minerals and melts
  • Development of SIMS methods for light element analysis
  • Equations of state, rheology and structure of minerals and melts at high pressure
  • Mechanisms and kinetics of phase transformations
  • Ultra-high pressure metamorphic petrology
  • Development of high-pressure multi-anvil technology

Technical specialties:

  • High pressure experimentation (multi-anvil, piston-cylinder, shock-wave apparatus)
  • Spectroscopy (Infrared, Raman)
  • Chemical microanalysis (extensive experience: SIMS, EPMA, SEM; familiarity with TEM, LA-ICPMS)
